Our client is a well-established entity in the construction sector seeking a proactive, self-driven, and experienced individual to assume the role of a Senior HR & Admin Officer.
The preferred candidate should be mature, resilient to challenges, well-versed in current labor regulations, and deeply passionate about effective people management.
The primary objective of this position is to oversee the comprehensive management and administration of the HR & Admin function within the company. This is aimed at ensuring seamless operations and the attainment of business objectives through a motivated workforce in strict compliance with employment labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formulating and implementing HR policies and procedures, covering aspects such as working environment procedures, performance management, disciplinary actions, and leave and absence management. Communicate these to staff members.
- Collaborate in the implementation of the staff performance management system.
- Work closely with management to foster and sustain employer-employee relationships, thereby enhancing productivity, motivation, and morale.
- Contribute to the development and execution of effective strategies for employee engagement and retention.
- Review and evaluate human resources programs, systems, and procedures for relevance to business needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports for management as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and staff on HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct training programs to enhance employee skills and cultivate a positive work culture.
- Manage all staff welfare and employee relations matters, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of any issues to foster a harmonious working environment.
- Develop strategies for effectively managing contract and casual employees.
- Establish effective employee communication programs to ensure a well-informed organization.
- Oversee Human Resources & Administration activities and plans.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
- Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management or its equivalent from a recognized professional body.
- Membership in a recognized Human Resource professional body.
- Minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience in HR.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of labor laws and the Employment Act.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies.
- Desired experience in the construction industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding planning and follow-through ability.
- Ability to successfully resolve conflicts and handle difficult situations.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
