About the job

JOB SUMMARY
Our client, a leading Engineering services provider in Mombasa, Kenya is seeking to fill the position of Sales & Marketing Officer. This position is responsible for designing and implementing Sales & Marketing strategies and surpassing commercial expectations to contribute to company sustainable growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Growth
1. Develop annual Marketing plans/strategies and budgets in consultation with management
2. Achieve set targets
3. Negotiate/close leads
4. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
5. Providing data and reports on leads for conversion.

Account Management (Customer Relationship Management)
1. Proactively manage relationship with customers.
2. Maintain up-to-date customer database
3. Sensitize customers on service offering.
4. Use CRM (Customer Relationship Management), to update customer activities.
6. Proactively handle customer inquiries and requests.
7. Accurately process customer transactions such as quotations
8. Managing commercial correspondence
9. Schedule meetings with prospective customers

Marketing Activities

1. Develop and implement annual marketing plan including digital marketing
2. Championing sales leads as per sales plan and pipeline
3. Participate in trade shows, stakeholder meetings, fairs and promotions as per plan
4. Arrange customer workshops to ensure the brand is reinforced with customers.
5. Coordinate customer satisfaction surveys and general customer feedback
6. Create awareness of the products and services offered by the company.
7. Actively seek out new sales opportunities
8. Conducting extensive research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
9. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services

Sales & Marketing Coordination
1. Align Sales & Marketing plan to company strategic plan
2. Regular reports on customer and Sales activities to the Management
3. Suggest sales process improvement.
4. Develop and implement capacity building plans for professional growth.

General
1. Adherence to company set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and policies
2. Any other duty as assigned by management

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Relevant Bachelors degree
2. Minimum 2 years progressive experience in a busy Sales & Marketing environment
3. Hands on experience with ERP, CRM and Ms Office tools
