Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd (MHCL) is a company owned by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Prisons Corporation Sole (PCS). The Company was established on 6th September 2016. The main objective of the company is to undertake production of sugar in Tanzania.
The company wishes to invite competent, qualified, experienced and dedicated Tanzanians to fill 12 operator jobs in the vacancy positions currently available in the company.
Vacancies: Operator at Mkulazi Holding Co. Ltd (MHCL) – 12 Posts
1. Turbine Operator: -3 Posts: He / She will be reporting to Technician -High Speed Machines.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor lubricants and control oil pressure across the turbo alternator set;
- Observe and maintain turbo alternator set operating parameters including Vibrations and Output voltages;
- Maintain required vacuum and water level in the condenser;
- Manage lubricant oil and cooling water system;
- Check on various gauges and flow meters;
- Recording in the Log sheet all critical turbo alternator set operating parameters;
- Ensure turbo alternator set operate safely and efficiently;
- Maintain and monitor plant compressed air systems;
- Troubleshooting of any fault on turbo alternator set;
- Performing maintenance on turbo alternator set during scheduled stops; and
- Perform any other lawful duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Academic qualifications and experience:
Holder of Full Technician Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Salary Scale: MGSS2/B2/Minimum.
2. 1st Class Operator – Boiler: 3 Posts: He/ She will be reporting to Shift Supervisor-Steam Generation
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains and Control boiler operating parameters;
- Ensures safety of people and machines;
- Carries out maintenance during maintenance and off crop;
- Records all running conditions of the boiler on the log sheet;
- Take water samples for analysis to confirm specifications;
- Perform constant visual checks, gauges and controls;
- Inspects boiler pipes, valves, pumps and safety devices for malfunctioning;
- Ensure boiler blowdown is performed properly; and
- Performs any other lawful duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Academic qualifications and experience:
Holder of Full Technician Certificate or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Salary Scale: MGSS3/B5/Minimum.
3. Operator B & C Centrifugal: -3 Posts:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Operates B & C-centrifugal machine;
- Control wash water temperature;
- Control molasses purity rise across centrifugal machine not to exceed two units;
- Check the molasses under microscope for excessive crystals;
- Regulate water quantity added into machine in order to reduce the final molasses purity;
- Check working and backing screen if are in good conditions;
- Regular use of stroboscope to establish where the separations, the brown ring takes places;
- Ensure all steaming lines are working properly; and
Academic qualifications and experience:
Holder of Form four (4) Certificate. At least two (2) years’ Experience.
Salary Scale: MGSS2/B2/Minimum.
4. Evaporator Operator DCS: -3 Posts:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor computer screen evaporator;
- To maintain parameter control for
- Adjust controllers to maintain a proper flow of clear juice;
- Observe temperature, pressure and vacuum gauge readings and adjust pumps to conform specifications;
- Records hourly operating parameters from controllers;
- Maintain good housekeeping, safety and health at work place;
- Take an active part in a loss control;
- Ensure visual management boards are updated accordingly; h) Troubleshooting and solving technical problems;
- Monitors safety of people and machines;
- lown per safety standards;
- Perform an emergency equipment shutdown per safety standards;
- Supervises chemical preparation and evaporator cleaning; and
Academic qualifications and experience:
Holder of Form Four (4) Certificate, NTA level II. At least two (2) years’ Experience. Knowledge in the refinery will be an added advantage.
Salary Scale: MGSS2/B2/Minimum.
