BESIX Ballast Nedam (BBN) Limited, the CONTRACTOR for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of the Jetty and Load out Facilities in the Tanga Bay for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project, invites job application for Rigger.

1. Riggers (5 Posts)

Purpose and scope of assignment The main objective of the rigger is to move heavy equipment or machinery to the required location without causing any form of damage to the load being transported, property, or individuals. Aligning, leveling, and anchoring machinery. Attaching loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving with the use of hand and power tools. Ensuring that rigging equipment is dismantled and properly stored after use. Carrying out tests on rigging equipment occasionally to ensure safety and reliability. Communicating with workers that are engaged in the process of hoisting and moving loads, to ensure the safety of workers and materials. Ensuring that all work scope is completed safely. Strictly adhering to safety regulations and precautions.

2.HSE Officer

3. Boat Operator

The main objective of boat operator is to operate, maintain and navigate boats safely and efficiently. It also includes preparing and inspecting boats before trips, ensure availability of proper safety equipment’s onboard, checking weather and forecast, steering boat and ensure compliance of all laws, handling of emergency situation and regulations governing boat operations. Navigate the boat in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Maintain and clean the boat. Communicate with passengers and other crafts. Organize and supervise loading and unloading of goods or passengers. Monitor weather conditions and adjust the boats speed and route accordingly. Engage in handling the Crew boats for transporting personnel and to approach the units, eg Flat top barges, Crane Barges, Self-elevated platform (SEP) and Tugs.

4.Coating Inspector

Coating Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring our coating operations meet industry standards and specifications. Perform comprehensive inspections of coating application processes, including pre-surface preparation, coating application, curing, and post-application procedures. Utilize advanced inspection techniques, such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic inspection, magnetic particle testing, and visual assessments to verify coating quality and adherence. Conduct adhesion tests and evaluate coating thickness using appropriate tools and instruments.

The main objective of the Scaffolders is to erect and dismantle temporary metal scaffolding on structure and construction sites, so that other people can work at height and carry out their jobs safely. Erecting scaffolding poles. Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site. Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding. Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures. Laying planks for workers to walk on. Fixing guard rails and safety netting. Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding through to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops and temporary roofs. Observing all safety rules and precautions. Any other task as directed by superiors.
