Hubert Kairuki Memorial University (HKMU) is looking for qualified and well experienced Tanzanians, to fill the following positions:

Vacancy: Internal Auditor at Hubert Kairuki Memorial University

Summary Description:

accountable for assessing and guaranteeing the accuracy, efficacy, and compliance with rules of the company’s financial records and internal controls. Point out areas that need work and offer suggestions to improve risk management and operational effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. takes part in creating internal control systems that adhere to HKMU regulations.
2. Examines and assesses internal controls to guarantee that operational and accounting systems offer sufficient, timely, and correct information as well as protection against loss brought on by carelessness, dishonesty, or other reasons.
3. keeps routine checks on the sufficiency and correctness of accounting records, internal controls, and operational activities across the university in accordance with normal practice, rules, and procedures.
4. Verifies that the University’s stated policies, procedures, controls, and other restrictions are being followed.
5. guarantees adherence to authorized financial standards, rules, and authority restrictions on all aspects pertaining to finance in HKMU financial policies and processes.
6. confirms that HKMU income is verified from source to bank and that expenses are appropriately incurred in compliance with the authorized policy and effectively charged to the applicable codes.
7. Periodically recommends to the Vice Chancellor appropriate adjustments and modifications to the accounting systems and controls.
8. establishes a productive working relationship with external auditors and makes the external audits easier.
9. combines the management answers to the audit questions and makes sure the audit recommendations are carried out in accordance with the management answers.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must hold all professional certifications, such as CPA (T), ACCA, or ACA, and have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in a respectable company.
