The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a government academic institution that provides undergraduate and postgraduate training programs. Established under the Institute of Accountancy Arusha Act No.1 of 1990, it is situated at Njiro Hill, seven kilometers southeast of Arusha City.

Vision: To become a model center of excellence in contemporary business management training, research, and consultancy services.

Mission: To deliver high-quality, competency-based training and provide research and consultancy services using applied technology.

The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is seeking qualified applicants for positions at the Dar es Salaam and Songea Campuses:

Position: Library Assistant II

  • Dar es Salaam (3 Posts)
  • Songea (2 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining public and staff catalogues.
  • Maintain records of library materials loaned to users.
  • Shelf books, periodicals, journals, and other library materials.
  • Assist in processing newly acquired information materials.
  • Maintain user profiles.
  • Collect information needs of users.
  • Assist in identifying library materials to be ordered.
  • Guide readers in finding information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Library and Information Systems or related field from a recognized institution.

Nature of Employment: Contract

Remuneration: Attractive package in accordance with IAA salary structure.

  • Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens.

  • Attach relevant copies of academic certificates and transcripts, including Form IV & VI certificates and birth certificate.
  • Foreign certificates should be authenticated by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and TCU.
