Key Accountabilities
To effectively carry out warehousing activities at the ESR, WMS and Leaf Stores in line with set guidelines approved by the client. Operating at Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE i.e forklift trucks and clamps). Working within a physically demanding environment. EHS Responsibility: Working in a safe manner whilst observing the laid down EHS rules and regulations. Use PPE provided i.e safety shoes, reflective jackets, dust masks, helmets. To report ALL HSE incidents to the warehouse supervisor. Practising all DHL values within the working environment. Assist the warehouse clerical team in the verification of assembled/off loaded stocks/materials to ensure they accurately tally with the assembly/offloading sheet (pick lists).
Assist in the supervision of physical loading/offloading of trucks as may be assigned by the warehouse supervisor. Assist in the filling of documents as may be assigned by the warehouse supervisor. Ensure no stock movement in the warehouse without the relevant documentation i.e stock transfer orders where applicable unless otherwise instructed by the supervisor. Ensure proper handling & stacking of materials in the warehouse, ensuring that stocks are put away into a picking done from correct bins. To assist in performing of cycle/stock counts as may be directed by the supervisor. Report any incidences/accidents during operations. Ensure proper handling of assigned Forklift/Clamp to minimize damage to both product & machine & prompt reporting of any mechanical defects relating to the Folklift/Clamp. Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor in charge of the task.
