For the five-year, $13 million Tanzania Heshimu Bahari Marine Biodiversity Activity, Chemonics is looking for a Driver. To increase capacity for the conservation of marine biodiversity, sustainable livelihoods, enhancing the business-enabling environment, and monitoring and oversight of institutions and projects, the Activity will be implemented through communities, civil society, the private sector, and government. The Activity’s four goals are to increase private sector participation in marine conservation and coastal natural resource management, improve data availability and use in decision making, build the capacity of the public sector and civil society, and improve the environment that supports MPAs and fisheries management at all levels.
Chemonics International Inc., a US-based international development consulting firm with operations in over 95 countries, is carrying out the USAID/Tanzania Heshimu Bahari project in Tanzania. We are searching for people who are passionate about improving people’s lives all across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Driving project staff
- Maintaining vehicle logbook
- Vehicle cleaning and maintenance
- General office support when requested

Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent spoken and written English
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- City and rugged terrain driving experience
- General knowledge of automotive mechanics
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
