The online loan application window will be open for a three-week period, commencing from March 1st, 2024, to March 22th, 2024. Moreover, at present, prospective loan applicants are advised to prepare by ensuring the following:
- Have a bank account with a name matching the one on their Form Four certificate;
- Have a registered phone number in their name, which they will use while in college;
- Verify their birth certificate by following the instructions from RITA (mainland Tanzania) or ZCSRA (Zanzibar);
- Prepare a copy of their guarantor’s identification; it can be one of the following: NIDA, Voter ID, Driver’s License, Passport, or Zanzibar Resident ID;
- Prepare small color photos (passport size) of the loan applicant and their guarantor; and
- Prepare the NIDA number. If the applicant doesn’t have it currently, it will not prevent them from applying for the loan.
