The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), one of the few organizations with a focus on forcible displacement, is the largest international NGO in Denmark and was founded in 1956. 7,500 workers protect, promote, and help communities affected by displacement and other forms of displacement in 40 different countries. DRC assists people who are displaced at every stage, including the acute crisis, exile, when they are settling and integrating in a new location, or after they return. DRC offers safety and incredibly important humanitarian aid. DRC helps refugees become independent and integrated into receiving societies. To encourage the protection of rights and peaceful coexistence, DRC collaborates with civil society and responsible authorities. Our 6,000 volunteers in Denmark significantly improve integration initiatives all over the nation.
