• Position 2: Litigation Associate: the email should be titled RECRUITMENT –LITIGATION ASSOCIATE.
• Position 1: Commercial Associate: the email should be titled RECRUITMENT – COMMERCIAL ASSOCIATE. 

The Role:

The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial transactions for clients in sectors such as mining and energy, telecommunication, banking and finance and technology.

The successful candidate may also perform company secretarial duties for medium to large corporate clients.

You will be expected to play a key role on transactions with partner and/or senior associate supervision. You will also be required to act as a mentor to trainees within the practice.

Skills and Experience Required:

POSITION 1 – Commercial Associate

• Qualified advocate in Tanzania or a common law jurisdiction’ with a minimum of 3 years Post Qualification Experience.
• Experience working on commercial transactions at leading law firms in Tanzania or equivalent in-house experience from a large corporate.
• Excellent academic record
• A person who is capable of working independently and as a member of a team.
• A person who is proactive and result oriented
• Commercial acumen is a must.

POSITION 2 – Litigation Associate

• Qualified advocate in Tanzania or a common law jurisdiction’ with a minimum of 4 years Post Qualification Experience.
• Experience handling debt recovery matters and commercial litigations at reputable law firms in Tanzania including appearances as first chair at the High Court (Commercial Division).
• Excellent academic record
• A person who is capable of working independently and as a member of a team.
• A person who is proactive and result oriented
• Commercial acumen is a must.
