Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop short-term, midterm, and long-term capacity plans for our plants and provide feedback to SPM, including annual maintenance shutdown and peak stock build.
  • Conduct monthly Long-Term Planning, perform Capacity Checks against RE Forecasted Volume, and incorporate Shutdown Maintenance for the year.
  • Review the business plan quarterly, addressing variances and ensuring realistic timelines and resource allocations.
  • Communicate the business plan and progress to the team at agreed intervals.
  • Monitor compliance with the short-term (13 weeks) capacity plan.
  • Conduct weekly Operational review meetings covering KPIs such as Sales Forecast accuracy, Produce to Plan, and Order Fulfilment.
  • Monitor customers, line utilization, raw material utilization, quality performance goals (product and package), and unit performance goal requirements.
  • Identify short-term capacity issues or deviations from the agreed midterm plan and provide feedback to the Manufacturing Manager/Director.
  • Perform capacity checks for the midterm plan through the Long-term plan and against sales volume.
  • Monitor weekly execution against the production plan (Produce to Plan Accuracy report) and analyze reasons for deviations.
  • Escalate issues to the Manufacturing Manager/Director if required.
  • Adjust plans if necessary and track production trends for incorporation into future plans. Provide feedback to the Manufacturing Manager/Director (Produce to Plan Report).
  • Conduct weekly Operational review meetings for KPIs like Sales Forecast accuracy, Produce to Plan, and Order Fulfilment. Obtain input from Team Leaders.
  • Review and approve weekly production plans and manage the weekly operation plan from supply planners.
  • Conduct weekly Operational Production Plan reviews.
  • Approve Production Raw Materials Planning and monthly raw materials planning, liaising with Procurement on deliveries.
  • Ensure Raw materials Days cover as per requirements.
  • Serve as the Production Planning and Control Module Coordinator.
  • Train and coach Super users, attend calls logged by SU’s.
  • Ensure SAP PP knowledge and PP training records are available.
  • Encourage full team participation in the change process.
  • Solve systemic problems to save costs, minimize risk and losses, and improve productivity in line with benchmarks.
  • Improve, revise, change, and design systems and processes as required. Apply solutions to other similar systemic problems.
  • Involve relevant individuals and empower unit members to solve their own situational problems.

Skills, Experience & Education:

The ideal candidate should possess at least a degree in Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of manufacturing planning experience and strong leadership skills in an FMCG environment. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and numerical skills, as well as a demonstrated high level of integrity.
