Vacancy: Cargo Representative at Turkish Airlines 2024 in Tanzania.

Job Description:

  • Realizes mechanisms for accepting, preparing for flight, and delivering any cargo or mail carried.
  • Ensures that cargo is loaded and unloaded without harm or loss.
  • Performs the initial response in order to resolve any abnormalities that happened during cargo shipments.
  • To build relationships with agents, clients, and industry businesses; to discover new markets; and to inform agents about fares/charges, laws, and innovations.
  • Inquires and examines the available and possible cargo potentials in her/his territory, and tells the Regional
  • Cargo Manager; and, if necessary, issues a report to that effect.
  • Establishes and strengthens collaboration with cargo agents and other airlines to find cargo for the Company’s flights. Visits agents and conducts sales-marketing activities in accordance with the marketing program.
  • Monitors and implements all procedures, directives, and international publications pertaining to cargo charges and rules.
  • Takes the steps necessary for the systematic performance of cargo sales and services in her/his territory.
  • Contributes to the achievement of all process targets in the area where she/he works by adhering to company policies.
  • Provides official paper (AWB) stocks, maintains them safe, and guarantees that distribution and transactions follow regulations and instructions.
  • Coordinates with official authorities and handling agencies, adhering to norms and regulations.
  • Responds to client pricing inquiries depending on TK policy and applications.
  • Coordinates with the Handling Company and follows up on TK equipment stocks, such as ULDs and straps, to ensure they are circulated and kept within Station limitations to avoid excess stockpiles.
  • Ensures cargo sales data are exact, free of dispute with ACS or cargo brokers, and ensures payments are received appropriately and on time.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Minimum high school graduation (an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferable).
  • Minimum one year of experience in shipping or logistics.
  • Knowledge of cargo operations through an understanding of airline cargo sales, particularly pricing techniques.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent mastery of English and local language(s).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Permanent residence visa in the appropriate nation (the company will not give or assist with work permits).
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and business contacts in a pleasant and professional way.
