Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Arusha. As the Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing our financial operations, including supplier payments, invoicing, and taxation compliance. Your expertise and meticulous attention to financial matters will help ensure the smooth financial functioning of our safari business.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including transactional data, receipts, and invoices.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage accounts payable and process supplier payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and liaise with tax authorities as required.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably within the tourism or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Tanzanian tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
