Generic responsibilities

This function is individually accountable for the broking unit and expanding the volume of profitable business from broking by providing tailor-made services that exceed client expectations in a way that enables the attainment of defined business targets.

  • To recruit new brokers according to the defined aim.
  • Create and implement a thorough interaction plan with brokers.
  • Create comprehensive training and development programs for all brokers that address products, processes, and procedures.
  • Daily coordination and monitoring of sales strategies.
  • Prospect New business, propose terms, and close to achieve established targets.
  • Liaise with the Underwriting Manager to secure the retention of business from brokers.
  • Conduct market intelligence to obtain information critical to the development of the broker channel.
  • Premium collections based on the Cash & Carry statute and the company’s credit policy
  • Ensures acceptable levels of business retention (i.e., preservation of current business) are always maintained, and any existing business lost due to unavoidable circumstances is replaced by other suitable accounts (over and beyond the year’s new business acquisition target).
  • Ensure sales promotions according to the company’s strategies.
  • Closely checks customer service satisfaction to ensure that renewals are not jeopardized; negotiates renewal arrangements well in advance; and delivers formal renewal confirmations to clients prior to the renewal dates.
  • Maintains and routinely updates business progress reports.
  • Frequent trips to intermediaries to ensure the connection is solidified and to conduct regular reconciliations with Finance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B): Marketing (Required).
